warm, warm winter

Out back, the yellow crocuses are blooming in the middle of February. I can't believe it! One whole month earlier than last year. There is going to be quite a battle between frost and early blooms this spring.

this afternoon. All except the rambler on the roof, which I left for naptime next. There were blooms, dry and wilted, still hanging on to the Garden Sun climbers around the front stoop. What a strange winter we've had.
