history-March 2008

As temps begin to mellow out this month, some of the poor tulips I prematurely tucked into the front garden began to peek up amid a load of debris, paint chips and rocks. After all the ladders and heavy boots and regrading on the ground above them this winter, I admired their resolve. I did the grading myself sometime in January, and I thought it best to just stick the leftover tulips in the ground there rather than compost them (I went a little overboard on bulbs that fall). Also this month, the driveway gets ready for bricks and (eventually) a bit of greenery--although from this picture it is hard to see the endpoint.
